Greyhound racing fans across the UK have been offered a temporary reprieve from the recession with many UK dog tracks offering a night out for as little as a penny. 17 tracks are taking part in the promotion which will allow adults entry to the track and a meal from its fast food outlet for just a penny. In the North East, three tracks are running a “Fiver Favourite” for £5 and are including a race card and two drinks from the bar.
