Staff at a leading UK care provider are hopping mad to support this year's Comic Relief appeal.
SureCare Services are well known in the community for providing domiciliary care to individuals living in their own homes. Carers and staff across the company's network of 27 franchises are raising money in imaginative ways, and none more than Kate Sherratt from SureCare communication office who is having a sponsored bounce at the company's head office in Chester.
Kate said: "All the staff in the office were trying to come up with funny ways to raise money when I had the idea to do a sponsored bounce on a space hopper. Family and friends have sponsored me by the minute so I've already raised quite a lot just bouncing at lunchtime. It's a lot more tiring than you would perhaps think, but great fun and it's worth the effort for such an incredibly worthwhile cause.
The first Red nose day event took place in 1988 and raised £15m. In total, the eleven red nose days have raised £420m to help and support people in need in the UK and Africa. To make a donation directly to Comic Relief, call Comic Relief on 03457 910 910
