Project Managers Celebrate

The Centre for Project Management Practice (CPMP) at Aston Business School celebrated its first anniversary this week (26th January 2009).

The CPMP was created to promote knowledge sharing by exposing project management practitioners and researchers to each other's experiences, concerns and expertise. The principle aim is to develop real time, real life solutions that actually work for project managers and to use these experiences to guide future development.

The event brought together influential organisations from various industries to review 2008 and plan for the coming year. Zeenat Ahmad, CPMP Project Manager said: "In the past 12 months we have created valuable links between project management and its practice in industry. It was great to see everyone together, with more links obviously being made between businesses at the event.

Zeenat added, "Throughout the coming year we will continue to make expertise available as a resource to the project management community regionally, nationally and internationally.
