Minibus first for Shropshire school

A Shropshire school has recently become the proud owner of a brand new minibus. Staff and pupils at William Brookes School in Much Wenlock were delighted to take delivery of one of the first new LDV Maxus School minibuses to be delivered anywhere in the UK.
Simon Griffin, Sales Executive at Greenhous Shrewsbury LDV Van Centre handed over keys to the school's co-head teacher Geoff Renwick and explained some of the extra safety related features that come with the vehicle, including free RoSPA driver training.
Simon said: "This minibus is packed with safety features, from its distinctive yellow colour and reflective livery through to the yellow seat belts. The belts add a bright and trendy touch, but also have a practical purpose - it's easy for the driver to see at a glance that seatbelts are being worn properly.
"This new minibus should serve William Brookes pupils for fun and learning over many miles into the future, safely and economically.
Other driver aids and safety features that make the LDV Maxus School Minibus easy to drive and travel in include high visibility yellow headrests to reduce the chance of any child losing their balance and falling over, a 62 mph speed limiter to meet current UK and EU minibus legislation as well as anti lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake distribution to ensure safe, fast braking in an emergency.
Rear parking sensors aid manoeuvring and to keep everyone entertained, a CD player with MP3 compatibility is fitted so that teachers and pupils can listen to their favourite music tracks- or even something educational.
