Thousands of people are flocking to a unique new website which has made buying and selling a car even easier.
More than 4,000 people visited CarSupermarketsearch.com in its first day, proving interest from the car buying public is strong.
The majority of visitors to car supermarket sites have already made the decision to buy a car and are just trying to find the right car and the right deal, so are much further forward in the buying process than visitors to a franchise dealer or manufacturers site.
The unique comparison website, which went live last Tuesday, brings together stock from the leading car supermarkets, rather than private sellers or smaller dealers.
This refines the search and allows visitors to find and compare the vehicles they are interested in faster, according to the individual search criteria that they request.
Market research has shown that more than 500,000 searches per month are done using the words 'car supermarkets' - meaning most visitors to CarSupermarketsearch have already identified that this is where they want to buy a car.
The website was the brainchild of long-time automotive marketing consultant Steve Lucas who has been working on the project for several months. He said: "With over 4,000 hits in its first day, we are confident this sends a message to the motor trade that interest in buying a new car is still buoyant.
"It is targeted purely at car supermarkets, rather than franchise dealerships and private sellers, like other search sites are. This means the consumers have already made the decision to buy and are further down the buying chain, but they can also expect the very best service as they continue along it.
Steve Lucas added: "The reaction from traders this week has been fantastic, describing CarSupermarketsearch.com as a great idea and an interesting initiative. People are really keen to get involved and can see how it will benefit their business.
